Real Estate
Art Space Pool, 2006
I used the building tools of Second Life (SL), an internet-based virtual world, to create an exact virtual replica of the Art Space Pool exhibition space. The concept of the project was to sell this ‘virtual real estate’ to Pool. The exhibition space was locked during the exhibition period and there was no art object on display. Instead the exhibition visitors were directed to the nearby PC Bang (Korean Internet Cafe), where they could log in to SL and explore the virtual replica of Art Space Pool. For the exhibition opening the complete PC Bang was rented so that 45 exhibition visitors could log in at the same time.
