T12 fluorescent, 240 x 25 x 40 cm, 2013
I produced this Chandelier in Vancouver. When I went to a material shop I found T12 fluorescent tubes, which are 240 cm long and have a diameter of 3,81 cm. For my European eyes that looked huge. Many things is North America are super sized and bloated. It was also interesting that the T12 system is obsolete due to its energy inefficiency and it is not produced anymore. I bought that last remaining stock of this T12 system and made a piece that is only consisting of a pack of T12 fluorescents.
